im still alive!!

hey just wanted to give an update because its been a while!! i have been busy getting ready to move and school and all!! i just wanted to give an up date to all the 0 people reading this that im still alive!! :)

 

SICK IS STUPID!!!

this is the best STUFF EVER!!! i put 4 of these in my water bottle and shake it up!! they make you feel GREAT! the orange ones are OK but these don’t taste bad at all! ESPECIALLY when your sick…… it gets a little cool out and my sinus goes NUTS!! Thanks nature! its awesome when you work all day then come home and eat a TV dinner then its off to school from 6-10:40!! woooo. being sick is not the problem its getting better that’s hard! i have no time to get better! haha sleep is in the cards tonight! wish me luck!!!!!

First Week Down

well got my first week down at College! I think these first 12weeks are gonna go by quick.

Its amazing that i enjoy going to school now and 4 years ago i HATED IT!!! well one week down

11 to go!! Lets hope this is awesome! GO ME!

SKATE (a not so indepth review)

SKATE

OK, so i have been playing skate for a while. I completed the “story mode” (i guess you would call it that) but mostly play on-line. Up until now i have just done quick ranked play and doing whatever even it lands on. Now i have found custom match’s and just doing free skate. The ONE THING I HATE is these jack nuts that get like 10,000 points in the first 5 seconds…. These are the same people that do a manual to 360 tre flip to nose manual to Nollie 360 hardflip 360 to manual to BS lip to tre flip out on own that spot.. COME ON!! i have no clue how they do it but when those guys are in my party I just try to beat the normal people i am playing. I stick to the ranked jam because at least i have a chance to catch up with some 3X and getting really tech in a half pipe. I have tried to make some cool videos but i have seen the same one on the side kick homepage for almost a year(watch it has changed now.. …) and i get flooded with these jokers that spam me with messages saying “HeY RAteZ MY VidZ aAND i wiLL RaTe YouR VID, GivE mE 5* aND i Will GiVE YOu 5*” I understand that you only want the achievement but come on, If you had some decent footage it would get a review. The story mode is really fun. Its the whole story of your some random skater and you work your way up the ranks. I know that people base games on “how long” it is but me personaly I base games on re-playability. If i can finish a game, turn around and play it again then that’s what i would call a good game!  One thing i like is that when you “own a spot” you get paid based on your sponsor’s, BUUUUUT the best part is that you can “own that spot” as many times as you can beat your current score. My only problem is that I now that over 100 grand and all i have bought from the skate shop is a set of wheels. I know if i buy stuff i will get some achievements from that but I just love playing on line. I currently have the KrooKed deck that was flowed to me when i completed all the tricks in the game but up till then i was skating my enjoi black and white panda deck. Any way i think i will go back and buy some stuff maybe complete the game a little more. With all that said, this is a VERY HARD game to put down.

 

RAD CRAP:

• The on-line community is awesome, i like that you can launch into xbox live from the sidekick on 1player.
• I enjoy feeling like i am really skating not just mashing buttons, if i want to tail slide i ollie in kinna far out slam my right stick to the left (i skate goofy)\
• It just looks amazing
• The tricks look BEAUTIFUL, seriously BREATH TAKING!
• Its not Tony Hawk Pro Skater
• Vid editor

JUST CRAP:

• On-line LAGS BAD!!! its really only when you get 6 people in the session is when you start to slow down.
• I wish it was just a little easy on the landings but that’s part of the real-ness of the game(it still ticks me off)
• Not enough slots to save vids….
• little kids talking

All in all this game is THE BEST SKATING GAME TO DATE. The only other thing that can top this would be California Games.

well here i am in the blog-o-sphere! twittering can only get me so far! im sure NO ONE WILL READ THIS.. haha buuuuut if you do follow me on twitter at twitter.com/retrospects i say some fun random stuff….. i am starting school next week and my major is software app. and programing so this will be about school, work, video games, tech, music and all-around kick ass ness! so over the next few weeks i will blog from home and on the go. i just DL a wordpress client on my iPhone and i will test that out.
